Make a decision and stick to it

Decision making can be a difficult task, especially when going through a period of change, within business or personal life. Indecisiveness can lead to you being stuck, mentally and financially if you cant make the right decision for your yourself or your business. What does it take to make a decision, especially of your an entrepreneur and so may ideas and  skills and you don’t know where to start.

What i think may go against popular opinion but hey these are my thoughts and i own them.  These are related to business although we know that your personal life is a direct link to the success of your business.

What to do If you find that you have many skills, qualifications and interests:

What you can do is focus on what comes naturally to you, for example, you have the skills to be a university lecturer of a particular subject,  but your heart is to work within a specific community interest group.  What you can do is develop programmes and workshops focusing on the need of your desired audience, these could be group face to face programs, or one on one, delivered once a month, Start to brand yourself as a leader and expert in this field, write blogs, share the stories of those that you have inspired you. Develop online programmes, that people can work through at home. You may think that this group may not have the money to pay for your services, but remember branding is about how you package a service and speaking directly to needs of your audience, and if you are the answer to their problems they will pay.

My opinion is that if  you are serving your audience directly, and only ‘playing’ at a role because you need the money you are not giving the best that you have to offer, which will lead to sacrifice and resentment.

So take responsibility, think about your decisions and stick to them. When you are serving the right audience, you will be paid your worth because you are giving your best self and most importantly you will be living your purpose, unleashing your expertise, attracting the right clients.

When you begin to take responsibility many things will become available to you.

  • You will be respected by your peers and audience
  • STOP playing the victim, things don’t always go according to plan
  • Identify immediately what you can do differently and JUST DO IT
  • Commit to a course of action for 30 days

Take action on decision making make an impact and begin to develop your personal brand in your chosen field
